I wish it had the red soft keys like the Rezound! Not to mention a 720p display! Why make software/hardware enhancements, but then downgrade other parts of the hardware?!?

There’s a simple app I use called super backup, it does texts, contacts and phone log. And I’ve used those before, but the only aftermarket batteries that actually ever work for me are Mugen and OEM Extendeds. My Rezound gets a maximum of 3 hours screen on time with the Mugen battery, and 2.5 with stock, which is abysmall.

You can get a larger amp battery on eBay. I upgraded my Incredible within weeks from a 1400mah to a 2400mah from a company in Hong Kong. It came with a new back cover also. I think I paid less than $20 with free shipping. Battery is my least concern now. But, how does one save or move all the text and other files over to a new device? I know how to restore my contacts. But, do I lose my texts and other files I’ve created?

If they had placed an HD Super LCD 2 screen and the HTC image chip in this incredible it might be worth getting excited over but there is just too much old technology in this device to make it worth anything over $50 on contract. The HTC One series of phones that have been out for months make this phone look like a step backwards and the One X and One S are only $50 more on contract. Verizon shot themselves in the foot with this one IMHO

This more a winner for Verizon, who will not let HTC gain brand prominemce on network with a version of the HTC One. perhaps one day, HTC will be able to defkne its line of phones like the way Samsung has done with Galaxy

You got the screen wrong! For some reason, several sites are doing this. It is NOT the same screen as the One S! Different size (4 inch vs. 4.3) and the One S is a Super Amoled with Pentile tech. The Incredible has a non-Pentile LCD. How can you be so incredibly sloppy with your reporting (see what I did there).

Hey Chris, thanks for the reply. Have you enough time to compare battery life in normal use compared to, say the GS3 or One X/S? I would like a new phone, but the Rezound, apart from having awful battery life, is pretty laggy too. From what I’ve seen, the One X and GS3 are quite nice.

Only HTC fans or people who want a relatively pocketable phone (compared to other Android phones) will buy this phone because really it doesn’t get any better than the Razr Maxx (now with Ice Cream Sandwich) or the Samsung Galaxy S3.

What’s the mAh rating on the stock battery? 4.8″ is a bit big for me, but if this thing has a shitty battery (I’m looking at you Thunderbolt and my current Rezound) and shitty development behind it (Rezound…) I’ll make due with the bigger, much more developer-backed S3 lol I just prefer HTC’s style to Samsung’s, but I’m tired of the Rezound lol

The user interface is very inconsistent with a dark theme in areas and then a lighter one in settings — it looks weird.

According to the press release it does in fact have htc image sense chip built inside like the original one x and s contrary to what you say in the video
