Dorian Nakamoto starts legal fund to sue Newsweek

Bitcoin is the most well known and popular of all the virtual currencies out there, it's also the one worth the most real money. Since bitcoin first hit the market people have been looking for the person who invented the currency. In March of this year, Newsweek published a story claiming that a man named Dorian Nakamoto from California was the founder of bitcoin, a claim that Nakamoto has denied since the story first surfaced.

In fact, Nakamoto says that the false report that Newsweek made has hurt his prospects for employment and he wants to fight back by suing the publication. To raise the funds for the legal battle, Nakamoto has started a legal fund asking people to give money for the legal action against Newsweek.

The legal defense fund is online at the URL newsweeklied, and perhaps unsurprisingly you can pay with debit card, credit card, or bitcoin. The money raised by the find will be used to sue Newsweek in an effort to "hold them accountable."

It's unclear exactly what Nakamoto hopes to gain in the suit; presumably, he wants money. Suing a company as big as Newsweek and winning will be an expensive and difficult proposition.
