I was at one time a loyal and happy customer of Cingular until AT&T bought them… within less than a year the service went to crap. Dropped calls ALL THE TIME…. Customer service did not seem to care in the least.

For the first time SINCE Cingular I am happy and confident in my cell carrier. I don’t want this to change. While I will have no option other than give AT&T a shot I fear that I will need to move to Verizon. Internet is good, phone service is good… they are just no good together. On Verizon you can not use both at the same time. I can’t be on bluetooth and search the web. I can’t use nav in my car and take a call on handsfree…WTF… I use both of those features and they will be gone.

My attorney (a good friend so I am not so caught up as to PAY an attorney over this) says that I can probably cancel my contract due to the severe and publicized verifiable service level difference between T-Mobile and AT&T as to claim a Unilateral modification in my contract. In other words they are no longer billing me for the service I signed up for. And regrettably I fear that this will be a fact.

It would be terrible if AT&T had a GSM monopoly in the United States. Especially since their recent price hikes.
