Disney Magical World trailer for 3DS: Animal Crossing x Mickey Mouse

There's a game by the name of "Disney Magic Castle: My Happy Life" out in Japan this season that's headed – soon – to the United States with a different title: Disney Magical World. This game is licensed by Namco Bandai and has already rung up a cool 500,000 copies sold, according to Nintendo Life, across the (comparatively tiny) country of Japan. Now that it's headed for the USA, it's looking like this title might just spark up some additional interest in the platform it'll run on – the Nintendo 3DS.

This game is essentially a cross between several titles from the past: a little bit of Animal Crossing, a little bit of Fantasy Life, and a whole lot of Disney. Here you're going to be jumping in on a virtual Disney World with hero characters left and right.

Users will take their "Mii" character and meet up with Disney characters to run their own cafe, dress up in a variety of Disney outfits, and go on adventures. The game allows users to create and craft their own items to wear and decorate with, and learn to dance (virtually) with a ballroom dance simulator.

Adventures include ghost-hunting (Scooby Doo not included), as well as fishing and exploration quests. This game will be aimed at all ages, with only "mild cartoon violence" included right out of the box.

Disney Magical World will be available in North America at a variety of retailers starting on the 11th of April from Disney, Nintendo, and Namco Bandai. The game will be made available for a cool $34.99 at Gamestop, and $29.99 at Amazon and Walmart – as far as we can see there's no difference between the stores other than the prices thus far.
