Well, this is interesting. It seems Disney has decided to buy an equity stake in the popular video streaming website, Hulu. The deal is looking pretty good for both Disney and Hulu. So, does that mean YouTube can eat their heart out?
Announced this morning, the deal makes it so three Disney suits are put on the Hulu board. This means they’ll now have an equal say as the original execs from News Corps. and NBS Universal. But the part of this deal users will actually be able to notice is the inclusion of Disney videos on the site.
The majority of video posted by Disney will include Disney and ABC TV shows like Lost plus popular items from the company’s catalog. So now the real question is, will CBS be jumping on board anytime soon? Will this move help Hulu overtake YouTube? We’ll be keeping our eyes on this one.
