You have not played every blizzard game released so your point is mute.

If you HAD played every game they have released, your point is still mute because you are a fanboy.

Blizzards current games suck, period end of discussion. Learn to be a free thinker and not a follower.

Rofl, ok old man winters. I've played every Blizzard game released, even their racing game, rofl. Not everything is like whine, age/experience doesn't' necessarily make you better at judging one thing over another, especially current events/games. It is more likely that you are A)Jaded, B) Over-expectant or C) Your preferences for gaming has just changed. I can safely say that I wouldn't like half of the games that I liked as a kid now, maybe its just not the right genre of game for you anymore, which after 13 years, can be expected. Regardless of how fun you find the game, the game has been extremely successful, server glitches aside, and will benefit from Blizzard support and expansions for years to come. If you don't want to go along for the ride, then don't, but I know I will!

So sad that people believe this... Blizzard still survives off a lot of the same principles it always has. It still takes a long time to develop and release epic games, it doesn't force feed you DLC, and it keeps things fresh (runes, skills, etc.) in a franchise that is decades old. Gotta love Blizz. They're not perfect, but still better than many game developers out there...

Be real -- the launch was far from an epic success. Yes, server bugs are to be expected when you launch with such a mass of people hitting the server.
I've played the game plenty, thank you. I'm referring to how you're actually trading with other players in essentially the same sense as you were for Diablo II - without real money.
Blizzard has decades of experience dealing with customers that think their few bucks to play a game has any real impact on a multi-multi-million dollar business. "not making any new friends" becomes comical at their level. They're not playing a game, we are. ;)

The RMAH was promised, sure... and will be delivered. Folks that are complaining only sound like children on a road trip. "Are we there yet?" "We'll get there when we get there." "But you said we'd get there an hour ago!" Yep... self entitled children. If Blizzard were a good dad, they'd tell people to sit down, shut up and enjoy the ride.

The monk being tuned is the first of many tuning that will be needed, and done, over the life of the game. I'm not Nostradamus or anything, but I predict revamps of the chat system, AH systems, Friend/Social Systems, and even the quest/lore systems. My 'main' is a monk... that skill is overpowered. with 2-3 monks, you can perpetually become invincible. Fun in gimmick, but not in actual gameplay. I needed to happen. Here's a spoiler... it will happen again. ;)

Maybe you should write about how the launch was an epic success. Delivering an absolutely amazing product to 3.5million+ users with a tremendous uptime. Sure, login was delayed about 1.5-2 hours. Since then, it has been brought down.. once? It's been otherwise stable baring a couple rolling restarts. Restarts due to the fact that they have a team committed to handling post-launch issues? Who can come close to their commitment? Bioware? ;) I feel an arrow... /facepalm

I'm not a Blizzard fanboi, but I am an IT tech. Blizzard has an uptime and commitment to quality that exceeds that of government agencies and hospitals. I would love to see those numbers. Hmm what other software launched that sold 3.5million copies in their first week? The only software that readily comes to mind would be OS launches. And we know how flawless those are. ;)

That would be a remarkable story instead of this bandwagon "it's been plagued with problems" garbage.

Bah.

"Blizzard Entertainment isn’t making any new friends with its newest update which cuts out the Real Money Auction House promised to fans at the launch of the game Diablo III."

I'm pretty sure they never promised that. Prior to launch, they said the RMAH would be delayed. I think people should prefer that the auction house works properly before they start dumping real money into it. It's hardly required for the game.

"You’ll have to do your item finding the old fashioned way, folks, sorry about that."

Um, there is a fake money auction house too that uses in-game gold to purchase items. That one has been mostly live since the game launched. So, there are still at least 2 ways to get good items: find them, or purchase them with the gold in your stash in the Auction House.
