I swear some people just have way too much time and money on their hands. This desk made entirely of legos is proof of it. Honestly anyone with an actual day job would never have time to do this.

This is one of those guys whose wife has to yell at the kids not to play with daddies’ Legos. The desk took 35,000 bricks to build. Apparently this desk is a big deal since most others use other pieces besides legos to create it.
The creator used almost all the pieces out of 32 blue tubs, several other types of sets and even got a few from private collectors. He even has special pieces to allow the drawers to slide in and out. The desk weights around 120lbs, however, keep in mind that is just an educated guess by the creator. Silly boys, they never grow out of their toys, now if you’ll excuse me I have to fix the door on my dollhouse. It is not a toy though, its a house therefore very adult and grown up.

If you bothered to read his web page, he was commissioned to do this by a company who purchased it for one of their employees. Eric worked full-time for many years as a freelance LEGO artist and this was snipped from his portfolio.
And this is not “news”, it happened 7 years ago.

Yeah this is pretty old, and it did say he was paid for it. Might want to read the site before posting about it.
