Desert Bus to get a VR-compatible sequel

If you've never heard of the game Desert Bus, then you're missing out. Well, you're missing out on a game that quite literally has you drive across the desert in a bus. The game is quite literally the most boring thing you can play, as you drive from Tucson, Arizona to Las Vegas at 45 MPH, in real time. And it's getting a sequel, complete with VR support.

The original game was created by comedy-magician duo Penn and Teller, who designed it to be the least-offensive game possible, partially to make a point about games not needing to be violent and offensive. The game was actually a minigame within a larger game that was never released. It's gone on to find popularity among charities, where people will do long endurance drives, while collecting donations.

According to game co-creator Penn Jillette, he's working along side Randy Pitchford of Gearbox to make a sequel that will "probably be for the [Oculus] Rift and for the PlayStation VR." He went on to say that the game would be released just for use by charities, to get donations during endurance runs.

One can only imagine the things that we could see in a new Desert Bus. Personally, I'm hoping for some traffic, and maybe some speed signs. If you've ever wanted to see some action-packed Desert Bus gameplay, check out the video below.
