the reviewer complains about the 4 GB of RAM in this thing and 64-bit Windows — I’ve ordered one for my manager, the first thing I’ll do when I get it is replace that RAM with two 4GB DIMMs I got for $50.
The Latitude E-series supports two 8GB DIMMs, I bet this one would too if I was going to be that nice to my boss.

Having the 64-bit already installed makes a RAM upgrade that much easier, though I’m replacing the OS anyway with Win7 Ultimate.

no mention of USB ports…. strange silence, because Dell fails to put more than one (1) usb port on its small laptops, which is a drawback because it limits connectivity! Even an Asus EEPC has 3 USB ports!

Dell is just weird.

Like sony.

They’ll make something half ingenious, and then hamstring it with half tardation.

For instance, love the edge to edge screen!

This is 2012, every lap should be doing that!

So why all the wasted space on the side of the keys?!!!

Don`t see lack of an SD slot as a problem. At home I use a $1.99 5-in-one muti-card reader that plugs into USB. It`s smaller than a thumb drive.

1366×768 display. It’s a toy. Probably OK for watching youtube videos but not much else.

I’m not sure, I had hoped Dell would kill the crapware and demo installs on their machines, especially for this as a direct competitor for the MacBook Air, plus the screen resolution for me seals it’s fate, it’s nothing more than a good looking slight larger netbook with a low resolution screen, 1440×900 is the benchmark with others going bigger still at this size, unless Dell offers a screen res upgrade that still comes under the MacBook Air priceline I’ll be giving it a miss.

ultraportable… hmm…. what’s next? megaportable? superduperportable? whatever… i see it still has a “windows” key. that pretty much makes it “deportable”….
