5) Why do you think people buy ultra portable laptops? It's so they can get out of the damn office into the sunlight and when they get there all their going to see is reflections in this stupid monitor. Matte, use it! Reflective glass is great for designers, but guess what, they have a Macbook and that's never going to change. I on the other hand want to be able to read text so I'm not going to buy this either. *sigh*

Know your market, Dell!

Three or Four issues, for me.

1) only 4GB RAM, on either version? You spend over a thousand dollars (don't forget tax and s/h), and you can't get the specs you desire? If you could drop in another stick of 4GB RAM, which only costs $29 nowadays, people would be much, much happier.

2) I want a removeable battery. I don't want to be locked in to having to send a machine to somebody else to get raped for a new battery, not to mention I like having a spare battery with me at all times so I am not locked into having to find a spot with an electrical outlet.

3) The increased cost of $500 for a simple upgrade of an SSD to 256 and chip upgrade to i7, is way too much. An increase should only cost $275 to $300 at most. Not $500.

4) Why no color options? Yes, it's a very nice looking design, but still drab coloring.

LOL, that's awsome! Anyway, if you do not like Windows then put UBUNTU on it.. or some other OS of your choice. With the ability to swap OS's these days you are realy just shoping for the hardware and this hardware sounds promising.

Looks good, my only concerns are the typeface used on the keyboard, and the minified cursor keys.

Agree with Daniel James it would be good to have a higher res screen offered, 1080p might be to much ask for in a 13" screen, perhaps a 1660x900 could be achievable, hoping the UK price comes down around £500-600 quickly before I buy one for the wife!
