Dell offers five new Alienware gaming notebooks

Dell and Alienware have unveiled five new gaming notebooks that will be hitting the market soon. The new machines include the M15x laptop, the M17x laptops and new gaming desktops. Really, the machines aren't all new models, but have been upgraded with new components.

The M15x now gets Core i7 processors and an optional 1GB NVIDIA GTX 260M GPU. The notebook can also be optioned with 8GB of DDR3 RAM. Prices for the new machines start at $1,499. The M17x gaming notebook can now be optioned with dual 1GB ATI Radeon Mobility HD 4870 video cards.

Alienware also offered updates to its Aurora and Aurora ALX line of gaming desktops with Core i7 Extreme Edition CPUs overclocked to 3.6GHz from the factory. The machines can now also get optional dual 1GB ATI HD 5870 graphics and up to 24GB of RAM. Prices for the machines start at $1,999.
