purchased last week. looks is going back this week.
very attractive, but external monitor resolution cannot drive a 1900 x1200 monitor. what a big miss from dell. otherwise we most likely wouldn have replaced abou 50 desktops with it.

An Acer Iconia W500 (Windows 7 tablet) is showing up as less than $500. And seems to be getting pretty good reviews.

I feel a little sorry for RIM though, I heard Windows 7 tablets are outselling the Playbook.

No worries. Dell might be overpriced but they have quality products. Just wait for the fanfare to wear off and they will become more affordable. Note that this line of Latitudes are geared towards businesses not the consumer market. Eventually they will trickle over to our side at affordable prices. Anyone can get an iPad (1, 2, 3) or Android (1 - infinity) tablet now but the ones with real patience will wait for the Windows 8 tablets to come to market.

Sadly it has a lower resolution than the article says (check the dell website)... so, at the end, it is a dead duck. I would buy one for testing... if it would have the Windows 8 "proper" resolution, but with a lower one - no, sorry, waiting for another one.
