Dell Inspiron Mini 9 netbook pricing & specs leak

Color us a little disappointed.  A leaked flyer has outed the pricing for Dell's upcoming Inspiron Mini 9 netbook (aka Inspiron 910), which according to sources is set for an official announcement on Thursday 4th.  While we thought the initial rumors – which suggested a $299 price tag – were likely too good to be true, and while $349 is still affordable it's a pity that Dell couldn't bring the netbook in at under that magic $300-mark.

Three netbook models are listed, the Standard Edition, Social Edition and XP Edition.  Each is powered by an Intel Atom 1.6GHz N270 processor; the first two have 512MB of RAM and the latter 1GB.  Both the Social and XP Editions have 8GB of storage, while the Standard Edition has 4GB.  All have WiFi g and come in black or white; the Standard has no webcam, the Social a 0.3-megapixel webcam and the XP has a 1.3-megapixel webcam.

Unsurprisingly, the XP Edition is the only Inspiron Mini 9 to run Windows XP; the other two use Ubuntu Linux v8.04.  Pricing is $349 for the Standard, $399 for the Social and $449 for the XP Edition (down, apparently, from $494).
