News of three new ranges of upcoming Dell notebooks has leaked, together with details of the company’s new design languages and customization options.  The Inspiron 1435, 1535 and 1735 series are all set to launch this year, and reach just 1-inches thick at their slimmest point (rising to 1.5-inches at the hinge).  Dell has described the new models as “bringing elements of [the] XPS lineup into reach of mainstream consumers.”

The range will be available with up to Core 2 Duo T5850 2.16GHz processors, and slot-loading DVD drives are standard across all models with Blu-ray as an option.  3G WWAN connectivity is also available, though not as standard.  Shortly after launch Dell will have a flush-fitting glass screen bezel option.

As for personalisation, Dell are planning on creating multiple lid and trim options in colors ranging from subtle to sickly.  Apparently the 1535 is due on May 26th while the 1735 follows on June 9th.  The 1435 has been “delayed” until October.  No prices or such details as yet.
