Back when I got my first computer, I had a friend that had a 1GB hard drive while I was stuck with a mere 600MB. He took every opportunity to rub in the fact that he had an entire gigabyte drive. Now here’s your chance to be that friend with the giant amount of storage space.

Dell and Alienware are now offering the upgrade to a 1TB drive on some of their new systems. The models include the XPS, Area 51 and Aurora PC’s. The jump is going to set you back an extra $320 over getting the 500GB drive.

I usually don’t encourage people to purchase Dell products, but if you do, you’ll have the biggest hard drive in town.
