And while there is certainly some truth to his assessment regarding the poor sales of third party games (although some of it certainly has been deserved as the result of poor efforts), his articles have typically shown disdain for the little white box.


Thus, it is not surprising that he is suggesting something that does not make economic sense. Not only that, but that strategy failed before (i.e., Game Cube). Lowering the price slowly gives you room for another drop in the spring when the new console hits the shelves. Remember, unlike Microsoft and Sony, Nintendo has to make money from its only business -- video games.
