I hope someone at bethesda is reading this, because for every pissed off gamer who posts here, there are hundreds if not thousands of others who share this opinion, they’ve pissed off thousands of very devoted fans already with it being late, and now it’s probably never even coming to us.
I’m done with bethesda at this point, skyrim was a waste of time anyway, I got bored after my second character.
Maybe Dishonored will fare better.

As much of a headache as that was to read i know what you mean, Bethesda is obviously too busy sucking microsoft dick to give a shit about us ps3 users, What they NEED to do is hire another team to code their shit, they come up with amazing game ideas, they just don’t know how to fucking code.
I will not be buying Dishonored for ps3 if this is what it’ll be like >:|

When I got skyrim in first place i knew there would problems with any other dlc, just because of the same engine… and now Beth is attempting to convine us that no matter how they fixed the problems with skyrim on ps3, they just are not able to do the same thing again even though they are directly working with sony…. now I liove bethesday game epecially skyrim; but how can you think that people can stay silent when all the other platforms are getting luxury treatments. Beth has done exactly what any other business would do try to make enough money in a limited time period working the least as possible; completely neglecting what their fans would think about this. I’m sorry to say Beth but ignoring questions is not going to get you out of the responsabilities you have.

If Beth fails to provide us with our own PS3 version, I will not be purchasing anything else from them in the future. Besides, their concepts and mechanics are becoming repetitive and boring as it is. I’ve been waiting for an authentic vampire experience, and now when it’s finally within my grasp, they supposedly can’t get it to work for.

In my opinion Bugthesda is lying about their inability to make the PS3 version work. I find it perplexing how most people can not give a definitive answer as to what is the major technical difference between Xbox and PS3. Many have said “nothing”, while others say the PS3 is more powerful. What makes the Xbox version so f–king more manageable than the PS3 version? Plus does anyone notice how Beth won’t give any specifics as to what it is that is exactly wrong? They’re being very vague about it. Also, why is PS3 execs not speaking anything about this to us?

Bethesda makes Sony look like the poor cousin in the gaming world. They’ve had this ps3 problem for several games now. And they sing the same song EACH time.
Oblivion, and its Dlc (ps3 only got the 2). Fallout 3 with its Critical error problem that was never fixed, each DLC which was released late for ps3. Fallout New vegas is still buggy as shit, not to mention the Late dlc releases for ps3. The fact of the matter is they KNOW they have problems with the ps3, but for whatever reason, they drag their heels (Microsoft’s exclusivity contract comes to mind.). By the time the Ps3 version comes out, the game has already been played to death by the rest of the gaming community. Bethesda simply dont care. If they Did, then they’d have been DESIGNING the game with the multiple platforms in mind, rather than make it, then ‘realizing’ there’s a problem to be fixed AFTER the fact (Having forgotten that every game they’ve produced in the last 4 years has had SIMILAR FUCKING PROBLEMS!!!).
God why did it have to be a company that actually produce awesome games! There’s so many puerile and shallow rpgs out there, the one company that takes serious pride in their work and they have some sort of vendetta against one of its platforms.

Initially when/if they get the DLC running properly you will not see a discount at all i promise, simply because there is no criteria here that calls for compensation (sorry a whole bunch of you guys got pissed because of game delays, it happens) but yes they may lower the price after a time but i doubt it for at least a year.
As for the Hearthfire being delayed i can’t say much about it because we have not yet come to that crossroads, but i think it is safe to say that if they figure out how to get DLC the size of Dawnguard running correctly they shouldn’t have much issues getting Hearthfire running properly (though you never know).
Sony and Bethesda are different entities so you can’t say that “Oh,
because Sony handled this situation thusly Bethesda MUST follow their example.” no they are different and can’t be compared or held to the same standards.

Bugthesda doesn’t need to give a discount… but.. later on they’ll have to, since most ppl won’t be buying their dlc full price, after all the bullshit (Unless, some of the ps3 players are kids or braindead). On an other hand it think it’s fair cuz xbox already has Hearthfire and we’ll probs get Hearthfire delayed. When psn was down, we got some free stuff and 1 month free ps plus (i think) and we didn’t wait any longer than the dawnguard delay.

It’s not that it can’t handle it, because it’s more than capable. It’s because Beth created the game using the XBOX coding dynamic and is just porting it to all other consoles just like they have been doing in the past. The thing is, the PS3 coding dynamic is so different that they can’t just do a simple port. Simply put, they have fucked us out of DLC and a wonderful playing experience just for a quick cash grab. I’m mad in this situation because I’m one of those loved and lucky fans that threw $150 + tax at them for a broken game filled with false hope and broken promises. Thank you Bethesda for showing that you really care about your PS3 fan base

You know what..i feel the same way most of you do im also a hardcore ps3 fan ..but at the same time im a gamer and I love fuckin skyrim so u may have to do what I did and find a good used xbox360 n a used copy of skyrim and restart..sucks..but fuck it..now me and the wife are enjoyin skyim and dawnguard n eventually hearthfire..may have to chalk this one up as a loss on ps3 fellas..its to complex for the dlc but w.e..

They should go ahead and release it, bugs and all (provided the bugs are manageable). I think that would shut most of us PS3 users up. I purchased Skyrim with all the bugs. I’m glad I didn’t have to wait for Bethesda to work them out. It’s still a great game, even with the flaws. If they went ahead and released Dawnguard, it would at least show the PS3 gamers that they are trying to work with us, and not giving us the shaft. Marginalizing a huge portion of your customers is never a good idea.

Before the ps3 was launched years ago I read stories of how developers were having trouble developing games because of massive encryption on the system. Whenever I would mention things like this to my friends they would tell me I didn’t know what I was talking about. Now, if a group of developers like the guys over at Bethesda can’t get an add-on to work, it looks as though there may be truth in this. I have both systems and it looks like i’m going to have to purchase Skyrim for the 360 just to enjoy the game. With all of the programming issues on ps3 as well as that cinavia bullshit, I bid Sony farewell.

I have it on Xbox and PC. So nice .. I played it twice. Haha, PS3 sucks (I own one). They are only useful if you want to watch movies because of the processing power. The controllers are way too light, the interface is disgusting and the premium membership is a JOKE. Don’t complain when you run it on a shit system.
