Archos Xenon tablet range makes no qualms with early iPad comparisons

This week the folks at Archos have decided to let their whole second half of 2013 strategy out in the open with a release that shows off their tablet (and smartphone) range. What we're seeing here first is a collection of tablets - large and small - aimed directly at Apple and Samsung competition, made to add to their current set of internationally-released devices already on the market. We'll likely see these devices up close and personal at Berlin-based IFA 2013 as well, early next month.

NVIDIA SHIELD update edges in on PC Streaming final release

Though PC streaming from NVIDIA SHIELD is still considered "Beta" by the company itself, an over-the-air software update coming this week has increased the number of games supported by the device officially up to 31. This OTA update suggests that NVIDIA is edging in ever-closer to a final bump for the machine into Go Time - for now, our tests have already proven the system to be more than capable of handling the games we've wanted to play out in the wild.

Black Betty 2K camera houses Mac Mini for all-in-one studio setup

While the creators of this "Black Betty" device maintain that it's not a camera at all, you'll find shooting, editing, and uploading video on it to be included, all in the same amalgamation of plastic, metal, and glass. This is the first Black Betty custom camera housing, and it works with an Apple Mac Mini inside and a Silicon Imaging SI-2K Mini Camera Head to create a single beast capable of creating high-quality video ready to upload to the web. And it does it all with just two physical buttons.

iPhone 5S release September 20th based on T-Mobile blackout

There's a bit of insight flowing this week on when the next iPhone will be released, coming from a set of documents shared by T-Mobile USA employees on when they've got a call to work without question. These are "blackout dates" and they've been shared with TMOnews, and though they do include a "subject to change" disclaimer, it would appear that T-mobile will be busy from the 20th through the 22nd of September. This is supported by separate reports from Japan which point toward the same date.

Moto X budget edition may include swappable casing colors

While the current first-wave Moto X devices from Motorola allow custom-order colors and etching, a tip today suggests that a low-cost version of the device might include the ability to swap out casings whenever the user chooses. Could this be it?
