Nokia’s baby Lumia 620 makes colorful debut in UK

Nokia's cheapest Windows Phone 8 handset, the Lumia 620, has gone on sale in the UK, with the baby of the bunch packing a budget price tag but borrowing several of the features from the more expensive Lumia 820. Arriving on O2, 3, and Virgin today, with Vodafone picking up the 620 on February 6, the new Lumia is priced from £149.99 ($237) on O2 pre-pay agreements, or free on O2 agreements of £18.50 ($29) or above.

New York Times repeatedly attacked by Chinese hackers

The New York Times has revealed that over the last four months, Chinese hackers have repeatedly attacked the company's computer system, something it says coincides with an investigation it published on Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao's relatives. With the aid of security experts, the company has stopped the attackers, but not before they managed to get data on reporters and employees.

The iOS 6.x jailbreak - dubbed evasi0n - has been announced, and according to a tweet from @planetbeing, one of the hackers working on it, is tentatively scheduled for release next week. The tweet advises that the jailbreak could come out earlier than that, or it could come out later. According to the official website that is now live, the jailbreak's GUI is being finalized.
