Google and LG have been experiencing some stock issues with the handset due to incredibly high demand, leaving potential buyers without many more options. The phone has been available at T-Mobile, but those who wanted to go straight through Google had to wait weeks for the handset to become available again.

Retailers can now charge you to use a credit card

As a result from an anti-trust settlement from a lawsuit filed back in 2005, retailers now have the ability to charge customers up to 4% of their purchase cost for using a credit card, as of January 27. The "checkout fee" applies to only credit cards -- not debit cards -- and can only be implemented in 40 states in the US, with California, New York, and Texas being some of the states where the surcharge is illegal.

In case you hadn't heard the news, the open Crysis 3 multiplayer beta kicked off today. Those playing on PC will be pleased to know that NVIDIA is just as excited as you are, releasing its new GeForce 313.95 beta driver that's said to increase multi-GPU performance by as much as 35% in Crysis 3. Naturally, the boost you get from this beta driver will vary depending on your setup, but those with a serious gaming rig should expect at least some improvement when trying to run the Crysis 3 beta.

This week it's become abundantly clear that the pornographic content issue has become a top priority for the developer teams at Vine, the Twitter-owned 6-second-video app. This app was released less than a week ago with a response that was no less than massive, both Twitter and Apple's iTunes App Store pushing the app heavily to get the word out about its existence. Since then a significant amount of "NSFW" content has appeared in the Vine universe prompting ire from almost every direction.

This week the team at Gameloft has released their Q4 earnings report for the end of 2012, showing here that they've come up with their most successful quarter ever! This report shows that Gameloft has recorded a 23% boost in sales compared to the same quarter last year as well as earnings throughout 2012 that are 27% higher than they were throughout 2011. Looks like everything is turning up Gameloft!

This week it's become apparent that there's a bit of a bug that's affecting a select few iPhone 5 users that forums have been calling the "greyed wifi" issue. The issue rises up especially today as iOS 6.1 was released just yesterday without a specific mention of the issue, and though it is possible that Apple has worked on the reported bug, users continue to see it appear. Keeping in mind that there still may be user error in play here, folks, we've come across some rather wild fixes to this problem that you'll have to make happen at your own risk - get ready for oddities!
