Dell IFA 2012 Wrap-Up
Today's the second major day of news from IFA 2012, and while Samsung and Sony both got their time in the spotlight yesterday (Samsung in particular had a lot to talk about, but Sony had some big announcements as well), today it's Dell's turn. It seems that everyone is jumping on the Windows 8 and Windows RT train lately, and Dell is no exception. Motorola DROID RAZR M 4G LTE leaks again in detail
Verizon's next DROID appears to have leaked once more this morning in a hands-on treatment with assurances that the Snapdragon S4 processor inside it is "fantastic." Over at Engadget this souce has noted that the lithium polymer battery inside was able to withstand a full day's heavy usage even with 4G LTE active, and the casing is ready for battle action as well. As you may well know, Motorola's latest line of smartphones basically all have protection against drops and water splashes, so we're not surprised that this one is as well.

Toshiba outs three new Satellite Ultrabooks
The folks at Toshiba came to play here at IFA 2012 and have just outed another 3 Satellite Ultrabooks to add to their ever growing lineup. Yesterday they unveiled their convertible hybrid in the U925t but today we have three new laptops with a more standardized look. Say hello to the U945 and P845t Ultrabooks as well as their new S955 -- but don't call it an Ultrabook.

Snapdragon S4 greatness touted for Windows RT tablets from Samsung and Dell
It would appear that Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 processor line is making the rounds this year at IFA 2012, today appearing in both Samsung and Dell's Windows RT tablets. The first of these is the Samsung ATIV Tab 10-inch tablet (check out our hands-on experience) with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and an 8.9mm thin body. Then there's the Dell XPS 10 which we got eyes-on time with this week as well - complete with 10-inch multi-touch display and keyboard dock for converting the device into a notebook.

ZTE Grand X IN appears as first ICS smartphone with Intel Inside
This week at IFA 2012 the folks at ZTE have introduced a brand new fabulous-looking Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone with an Intel Medfield processor inside. This device has an Atom X2460 under the hood for next-level processing power and works with a casing that's quite unique to the world of smartphone in its hatched-back battery cover physical patterning. The rest of the device looks rather like a Galaxy Nexus, and certainly hasn't changed a whole lot since we saw an earlier iteration just a few months back.

Sony Tap 20 oversized home tablet hands-on
Is 20-inches too much for you? Sony thinks every home doesn't just need a coffee table tablet, but a tablet scaled more like a coffee table: the Tap 20 takes Windows 8 and touch to all-in-one PC levels. In fact, the 20-inch device sits somewhere in-between AIO and tablet, offering 10-finger multitouch control of Microsoft's new OS for something targeted at browsing, casual gaming and multimedia.

Sony VAIO Duo 11 hands-on
Sony likes to do things differently, and the VAIO Duo 11 is its unusual entrant to the Windows 8 tablet market. Billed as a “hybrid sliding PC” the Duo 11 looks, at first glance, like a chunky tablet, but pull up just above the front-facing webcam and the touchscreen slides back and up to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. It’s an approach we’ve seen before, from the ASUS Eee Pad Slider, but here running Microsoft’s full Windows platform and with a digital stylus for handwriting and sketching.
Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 hands-on
Lenovo's ThinkPad Tablet 2 isn't new - the company announced it officially earlier this month - but we had our first time to get up close and personal with the Windows 8 business-focused slate at IFA. Unlike Lenovo's Android models, the ThinkPad Tablet 2 is Lenovo very much on form: it's clearly from the ThinkPad stable, for instance, and is filled with details that suggest the company was thinking about their business users first and foremost.

Kindle Fire sells out in anticipation of Amazon event
If you needed any "official" proof from Amazon that their upcoming event was about to introduce a new generation of media tablets, this is it - the Kindle Fire has been announced as "sold out." This announcement comes just one week before the company is set to host an event in which they'll more than likely release a new bit of hardware - at least one tablet with the ability to work with Android media of all types, we're seeing now. The Kindle Fire was launched in September of 2011 and has since been the #1 best selling product on Amazon - and it's time for a refresh.

Lenovo IdeaTab A2109 and A2107 hands-on
It's a tough world for a cheap Android tablet. Lenovo's budget Ice Cream Sandwich pair, the IdeaTab A2109 and A2107, arrive not only in the usual shadow of the iPad, but of Google's $199 Nexus 7. Of the two, the A2107 takes on the official Google-slate most directly with its 7-inch 720p screen, though it's comparatively underpowered with an unspecified A9 processor.
