Samsung’s Galaxy Camera might run Android, but in your hand it’s most definitely a point-and-shoot. Still, Samsung has taken advantage of that heft well: you get a huge 21x optical zoom, 16-megapixel camera and a vast 4.8-inch HD screen. We caught up with Samsung ahead of its IFA 2012 “Unpacked” launch event to see how the Galaxy Camera holds up. Read on for our hands-on first impressions.
The folks at Toshiba have revealed the U925t Ultrabook complete with a slide-out screen and Windows 8 ready for action at IFA 2012. This device works with Windows 8 complete with touchscreen excellence under a pant of Gorilla Glass. This device will be appearing for just a bit more than $1000 USD sometime near the end of October - more than likely the 26th of the month, for reasons you might already know.

Epic and NVIDIA announced at IFA today that they've teamed up to bring Unreal Engine 3 to Windows 8 and Windows RT. The announcement was made during the ASUS Vivo Tab RT press conference earlier this morning, and we were given a demo of Unreal Engine 3 running on the device, which comes complete with a Tegra 3 processor. With Windows 8 on the horizon it's time for IFA 2012 to bring the touchscreen wave, with Samsung bringing on a brand new version of their popular Series 5 ULTRA laptop. This machine is ready to bring on its 13-inch display of power with 1366x768 pixel resolution plus Samsung’s SuperBright Technology for a massive 300nits of brightness. This week the folks at Samsung have revealed two new convertable slates with the ability to connect to a keyboard dock and run full touch-capable Windows 8. Both the Series 5 and Series 7 Slate PCs will be bringing a 10-point touch experience to your Windows 8 world with no less than their full Samsung set of features. Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Note II, the successor to its surprising hit “phablet” the Galaxy Note, with a 5.5-inch stylus-enabled display and 1.6GHz quadcore processor. Running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with 2GB of RAM, the Note II also includes a fatter, longer stylus – though still fitting it into the body of the phone itself – with a new rubber tip for more comfortable handwriting and sketching. Perhaps most impressive, though, are the dimensions: by trimming the bezels, Samsung has managed to bring the new Note II in at almost the same size as the model it replaces, despite the larger screen.
Take the DNA of the original Galaxy Note, add the style of the Galaxy S III, and throw in a more comprehensive understanding of what digital pen-users want, and you’d come up with the Galaxy Note II. Samsung’s second-gen “phablet” manages to deliver a larger screen in a more pocketable form-factor than its trail-blazing predecessor, including making the digital S Pen itself easier to wield. We caught up with Samsung and the Note II ahead of its official launch at IFA 2012 to see if one of our favorite devices could really have been so improved.
Those rumors about Samsung naming their new Windows Phone lineup the "ATIV" appear to be quite accurate after today's latest leak. It looks as if Samsung is getting prepared to launch a few new Windows devices and today we have our first look at the 4.8-inch ATIV S Windows Phone 8 smartphone. It isn't quite the Galaxy S III -- but sure comes close.

At IFA 2012 the folks at Sony have let it be known that they'll be keeping the Xperia brand name for some time to come, complete with a hero smartphone Xperia T. This device is one of three new devices including the Xperia J and Xperia S, each of them set to be released soon with a set of new Sony applications and NFC functionality that'll bring the company straight into the future of mobile computing. What's more, the T is set to take on the whole smartphone world with specifications that exceed the hero expectations.

Today the Samsung Galaxy Note II appears to have been revealed before its final release time with specifications and high-res images appearing together. This leak comes from PocketNow where they've got two different iterations of the Galaxy Note II, one of them blue, the other white. This device will have a 5.5-inch 1280×720 resolution display which will be a massive HD Super AMOLED panel - that's bright and sharp for certain.
