Samsung Galaxy Camera hands-on

Samsung's Galaxy Camera might run Android, but in your hand it's most definitely a point-and-shoot. Still, Samsung has taken advantage of that heft well: you get a huge 21x optical zoom, 16-megapixel camera and a vast 4.8-inch HD screen. We caught up with Samsung ahead of its IFA 2012 "Unpacked" launch event to see how the Galaxy Camera holds up. Read on for our hands-on first impressions.

The folks at Toshiba have revealed the U925t Ultrabook complete with a slide-out screen and Windows 8 ready for action at IFA 2012. This device works with Windows 8 complete with touchscreen excellence under a pant of Gorilla Glass. This device will be appearing for just a bit more than $1000 USD sometime near the end of October - more than likely the 26th of the month, for reasons you might already know.

Epic and NVIDIA announce Unreal Engine 3 for Windows 8 and Windows RT

Epic and NVIDIA announced at IFA today that they've teamed up to bring Unreal Engine 3 to Windows 8 and Windows RT. The announcement was made during the ASUS Vivo Tab RT press conference earlier this morning, and we were given a demo of Unreal Engine 3 running on the device, which comes complete with a Tegra 3 processor. Needless to say, it looks pretty good.

This machine is ready to bring on its 13-inch display of power with 1366x768 pixel resolution plus Samsung’s SuperBright Technology for a massive 300nits of brightness. This device also of course has 10-finger touchscreen capability now for the touch-friendly future of Windows software.

This week the folks at Samsung have revealed two new convertable slates with the ability to connect to a keyboard dock and run full touch-capable Windows 8. Both the Series 5 and Series 7 Slate PCs will be bringing a 10-point touch experience to your Windows 8 world with no less than their full Samsung set of features. In addition to being able to use the devices' touchscreens and keyboards to control what's on the display, you've got a Samsung S Pen to work with as well!

Samsung Galaxy Note II official: 5.5-inch quadcore phablet

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Note II, the successor to its surprising hit "phablet" the Galaxy Note, with a 5.5-inch stylus-enabled display and 1.6GHz quadcore processor. Running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with 2GB of RAM, the Note II also includes a fatter, longer stylus - though still fitting it into the body of the phone itself - with a new rubber tip for more comfortable handwriting and sketching. Perhaps most impressive, though, are the dimensions: by trimming the bezels, Samsung has managed to bring the new Note II in at almost the same size as the model it replaces, despite the larger screen.

Galaxy Note II leaked pre-IFA reveal

Today the Samsung Galaxy Note II appears to have been revealed before its final release time with specifications and high-res images appearing together. This leak comes from PocketNow where they've got two different iterations of the Galaxy Note II, one of them blue, the other white. This device will have a 5.5-inch 1280×720 resolution display which will be a massive HD Super AMOLED panel - that's bright and sharp for certain.
