Gigabyte unveils X11 as world’s lightest 11.6-inch Ultrabook

Gigabyte today officially unveiled its X11 Ultrabook following yesterday's leaked images of the laptop. The 11.6-inch Ultrabook is being touted as the world's lightest notebook, weighing only 975g or 2.15 pounds. Besides sporting a MacBook Air-like ultra thin design ranging from 16.5mm to 3mm (0.65 inches to 0.19 inches) at its thinnest point, the X11 is also made from real carbon fiber that further reduces weight. Prometheus red carpet rolls out in London – join us today!

Today is the big day in London for those anxiously awaiting the very first showing of the sci-fi epic Prometheus, and we’re right there along with them on the red – or blue, rather – carpet! This event is taking place in Leicester Square with stars Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, and Noomi Rapace as well as the director of the film Ridley Scott joining in on the fun tonight (or today, if you’re joining us from the USA.) We’ll be viewing the film as well as speaking with film producers, workers, and random Prometheus affiliates as they walk the carpet before the big show.

Skyrim Dawnguard official trailer released

The official trailer for Skyrim's upcoming DLC called Dawnguard has been released by game publisher Bethesda. Artwork for the new content was first teased earlier this month and is expected to be a larger than normal expansion pack for the popular video game. Project Glass outlined with “hundreds of variations”

Google's Project Glass is certainly getting its fair share of sunlight this summer with several outings on Google top heads, this week getting shown off by none other than the leader of the project himself, Steve Lee. This fellow spoke with Fast Company about how not only did the team at Google X create hundreds of variations of the Glass project, they made "dozens of early prototypes" as well. Lee let it be known, or confirmed rather, that the key element to the Project Glass experience is the photo taking feature, with every other bit being more of a secondary motion for the wearer of the headset. Starting from today you now have a new prepaid option courtesy of Cricket Wireless. Virgin’s London Underground WiFi up and running

The Olympic Games are fast approaching for the city of London, and public transport is bound to be crammed full of Londoners and tourists alike. Maintaining steady internet access will be somewhat of a chore, but Virgin Media stepped up to the plate not too long ago to announce it was partnering with Transport for London to offer WiFi access in stations and on platforms. SpaceX Dragon detached from ISS to return home

The SpaceX Dragon capsule has only one more task to complete before its historic mission to the International Space Station is complete and a resounding success. I'll admit that generally I find SUVs to be very boring. These big people movers tend to be underpowered leading to slovenly performance. I think it would be pretty safe to say that most in Hollywood don't like YouTube. Hollywood movie studios have long scorned YouTube as a place where studio content is pirated and copyrights are broken. If you’re desperate for a capable smartphone running Android but don’t want to break the budget, Vodafone might just have the handset for you. The company has announced the followup to last year’s cheap and cheerful Vodafone Smart, the Smart II. The phone has a 3.2-inch HVGA display, an 800Mhz processor, and a 3.2 megapixel camera.
