HTC Sense UI will be released for “other existing devices”

Speculation a-plenty today, after HTC's Peter Chou apparently confirms that the company's Sense UI "will be available on some other existing devices".  That, understandably, has prompted many Magic and G1 owners - previously to be found looking at their devices and sneering at the basic UI -  to believe that at least one of the two phones will get HTC Sense.  However, it might also be a little more complex than that.

Seagate updated their FreeAgent drives today, specifically those for the Mac, giving each new features and improved performance. This comes on the heels of the BlackArmor line upgrade on Monday.

SanDisk announced their brand new Extreme SDHC 32GB card today and it is intended for use in higher-end HD camcorders and DSLRs. In fact, it has a 30MB/s read and write speed and beats the AVCHD HD video recording requirements.

AT&T Navigator for iPhone released: functional but expensive

AT&T have released the iPhone version of their Navigator PND program through the App Store [iTunes link], offering turn-by-turn directions on the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS.  The Telenav-developed app supports both verbal and on-screen guidance, speech recognition, traffic alerts and full 3D mapping.

HTC promise Sense UI on Windows Mobile in future

HTC have confirmed that the distinctive HTC Sense UI seen today on their Hero Android handset will in future be featured on the company's Windows Mobile devices.  According to the HTC press release, "all new HTC devices moving forward" will get the new system, which integrates Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and other widgets into the homescreen.

Nokia order Snapdragon Smartbook and Atom netbook from Taiwanese OEMs

Nokia have reportedly ordered netbook computers from OEM firms Compal and Quanta, according to the Commercial Times as quoted by Bloomberg.  While the source of the information was unclear, Nokia have seemingly ordered both Intel Atom-based netbooks and Qualcomm Snapdragon based smartbooks.  The Atom netbooks may ship as early as Q3.

AT&T UMTS Femtocell national launch by end of 2009

AT&T's femtocell system should launch nationally by the end of the year, according to one of the carrier's senior executives.  Gordon Mansfield, AT&T's executive director for radio access network delivery, has revealed that the UMTS femtocell - which has been in trials with around 200 users for the past few months - will initially take on more test customers before the complete roll-out.

HTC add Flash support to Android Hero

As well as the Hero, HTC have announced a deal with Adobe to bring support for Flash to the new smartphone.  Describing it as "an important step toward full web browsing with Flash Player 10 on mobile phones in future".  What it does mean, though, is full access to Flash video like YouTube within the browser.
