We must confess, the first round of Samsung N310 photos we saw didn't exactly fill us with lust.  Not rubbery enough to be properly rugged, and not innovative enough to stand apart from the crowds of other netbooks on the market, the N310 rocks its curvy casing and Atom N270 processor but doesn't carve much of a niche.  It's an opinion this Blogeee hands-on video does nothing to diminish.

Monsters vs. Aliens: SlashGear meets DreamWorks InTru 3D & HP

Back in June last year, SlashGear was invited to spend time with animation studio DreamWorks and see the work they and HP had done on Kung Fu Panda.  At the time, it was difficult to imagine a more complex and processor-intensive setup, but DreamWorks have managed to one-up themselves in 2009 with Monsters vs. Aliens.  Set to hit theaters across America this weekend, Monsters vs. Aliens is the first full-length production from the team in 3D.  SlashGear was invited back to find out exactly what's involved in making 50ft monsters leap out of the screen.

ASUS Eee PC E1004DN with DVD burner landing April?

According to the latest rumors from retailers, the DVD-equipped ASUS Eee PC E1004DN will land in stores come mid-April with a sticker price of NT$18,000 – 20,000 ($531 – 590).  The Eee PC E1004DN – first spotted at CES earlier this year – will have an Intel Atom N280 processor, the HD-capable GN40 graphics chipset and a 120GB hard-drive.  Those same sources have also tipped the launch of the ASUS Eee PC 1008HA.

Panasonic DMC-GH1 1080p Hybrid hits Japan April 24th

Pricing and release information for the Panasonic DMC-GH1 Hybrid has been revealed, as part of the camera’s launch in Japan this week.  The 12-megapixel Micro Four Thirds System camera will go on sale in Japan on April 24th, priced at around  150,000 yen ($1,530).

The first MSI Wind netbook to use Intel's Atom N280 processor, the U123, will go on sale in Japan on April 11th, priced at 49,800 yen ($507).  The netbook has a 10-inch WSVGA display and comes as standard with 1GB of RAM, though unlike other Wind netbooks the U123 will support up to 2GB.

Samsung SWD-100 Mondi WiMAX MID accidentally confirmed

The Samsung SWD-M100 WiMAX MID that we saw back at MWC has been prematurely named by the company's RSS feed.  Now known to be the Samsung Mondi, the MID has a 4.3-inch touchscreen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard and 4G WiMAX access via the Clear network in the US.
