Star Wars Shop offering Black Friday savings

If you have a Star Wars fan in your family, or you are one yourself, then you're going to want to check out the Black Friday sale at the official Star Wars Shop. You'll save a bunch on all sorts of items, from small toys for stocking stuffers to serious memorabilia.

It looks like you can save 10% on every item in the store. While that might not be as much as some other online sales, considering the fact this discount covers the entire stock and includes high ticket items, it's pretty significant. Micron 1GB/s SSD to be released in the near future

Well this is exciting news. Micron has come up with a new SSD that could actually break current records for internal storage and would be incredibly fast. This new storage would actually use two solid-state drives that have 16 data channels. This would make for a transfer speed of up to 1GB/second!

Call me impressed! Performance exceeds 200,000 input/output operations per second. It also requires that the current Serial ATA II 300MB/s bandwidth cap be released with a PCI Express. During a demo video, the SSDs are mounted on cards and these managed to top 800MB/s.

Sprint sued by employees over unpaid commission

Sprint is being sued by its own sales staff, over allegedly failing to pay them commission.  More than 19,000 current and former employees are affected by the case, which has been approved by a Kansas City judge this week, each of whom missed out on between $100 and $500 per month.  The legal team for the employees are predicting that Sprint could face total damages in excess of $5m.

Verizon prepping two BlackBerry Storm updates for imminent release

Verizon and RIM are preparing two imminent updates for the BlackBerry Storm, in an attempt to address multiple bugs in OS v4.7.0.65.  The first OTA update is expected to be released next week, and tackle sudden volume changes, problems with audio during calls and spontaneous restarts, among other things.  The second, which is expected sometime in December, will tackle disappearing email and CDMA network connectivity, keypress misses and screen orientation issues.  While the full roster of fixes is unknown, a leaked internal Verizon document has laid out a number of issues for customer service reps to be aware of, which you can read after the cut.

Bluetooth PS3 Keypad & dual-USB AC adapter announced

Sony has announced two new accessories for the PS3 that will ship this holiday.  The first is the Wireless Keypad for PS3, a Bluetooth keyboard that clips onto the controller and recharges via USB.  Second comes an AC adapter for peripherals, with two separate USB power outputs that can be used to recharge the wireless DUALSHOCK 3 and SIXAXIS controllers, Bluetooth headset and new Bluetooth keyboard without turning the console itself on.
