Beverly Hills 90210 limited edition iPod

Beverly Hills 90210 limited edition iPod

Alright, so the series of the iPods engraved with The Simpsons, that was badass.  This however, is just sad and a bit late I might add.  Seriously, 90210, are you kidding me?!

It's limited edition and everything, which is probably best.  No one wants too many of these roaming about the earth.  You can also get a cheesy little message engraved below the image.

Wrath of the Lich King Beta invitation arrives!

Wrath of the Lich King Beta invitation arrives!

Since it was announced earlier in the month that the beta keys were being emailed out for Wrath of the Lich King, I've been pretty much checking my email non-stop. Well last night I finally saw the email I was looking for. That's right, we can now bring you firsthand details of the beta.

EA to sell Crysis Warhead branded PCs

EA to sell Crysis Warhead branded PCs

Can your PC run Crysis? If you keep your hardware up to date, then it's possible that you can run it fairly well at the lowest, or possibly even medium settings. However, when the game first came out, almost no one was able to even able to crank it up to High at a decent resolution. We know that Crysis Warhead is going to be a little easier on your system, but how can you make sure that your PC can handle it? Just buy a new Crysis Warhead branded PC from EA.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed demo coming next month

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed demo coming next month

One of the games I'm looking forward to the most this year is Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Thankfully it seems that we'll only need to wait until August to get our first real hands-on look at the title, as LucasArts recently announced that the demo will be coming next month.

Creative Fatal1ty X-Fi USB Headset

Creative Fatal1ty X-Fi USB Headset

I remember back in the day when the name Fatal1ty was just first being heard around the internets. This was some kid that was making a real name for himself in the professional gaming world by dominating in Quake III Arena, and going on to win (or place very well) in dozens of professional tournaments. Nowadays you don't hear much about his victories, but you do see gaming products with is stamp of approval on them. The latest such products is the Creative Fatal1ty X-Fi USB Headest.

First, this headset is not going to improve your fragging skills, I don't care who has their name stamped on it. However, I can bet that this guy has spent more time gaming with a headset on than most of us, so he probably knows what he's talking about.

WowWee Femisapien gets reviewed: best programming interface yet

WowWee Femisapien gets reviewed: best programming interface yet

WowWee seem to be in a routine of releasing new robots every couple of months, and it's now the turn of the Femisapien - also known as SEGA's E.M.A. or 'Kissing Robot' - to go through the Robots Rule review process.  What makes her particularly special is the way WowWee encourage you to interact and programme her; yes, you can use their remote control, but the Femisapien will just as happily respond to touch and tapping, together with hand gestures and even posing her limbs for the robot to memorize.

Check out the video demo of the Femisapien after the cut

Original T.I.E. Fighter filming model goes on sale for $170k

Rich?  Love Star Wars?  Obsessed with collecting models used in the making of the original films?  Did I mention rich already?  You'll need to be almost obscenely wealthy to win this eBay auction: one of four original T.I.E. Fighter models used in the filming of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.  In fact, this is the Fighter that helpfully collided with Darth Vader and allowed Luke to blow up the Death Star, constructed from resin and cannibalized parts from other model kits.  The auction doesn't officially kick off until August 1st, but if you fancy you could drop an absentee bid at the starting price of $170,000.

External hard-drives with connections to hook up direct to your TV aren't anything new, but what if you've only got a standard USB drive?  Freecom's MediaPlayer XS is a potential solution; a compact box with a USB 2.0 host port on one side and standard AV cables on the other, it allows for direct playback of MP3, WMA and WAV audio together with MPEG-1, 2 or 4 video files, including DivX, Xvid and more.

The Rise of the Webisode (Or, Why Neil Patrick Harris is Awesome)

The Rise of the Webisode (Or, Why Neil Patrick Harris is Awesome)

I know I’m behind a bit here, but I finally got around to downloading and watching the web musical, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog yesterday and it got me thinking. First of all, I was impressed. This is a web-only production with recognizable actors, original music and direction by Joss Whedon (the brain behind everything Buffy, Firefly, etc). Second, as if I needed any more evidence, Neil Patrick Harris is awesome as the villainous Dr. Horrible. (“Muahaha…ahahaha, so that’s you know, coming along”).
