Big Dog is only the beginning: take a look at Cheetah. It can run close to 100 mph and it can track you by your heartbeat. If this little gem (about 100 lbs) is stalking you there is no hope – it will get you. It can also hear you breathe through a brick wall. This is just the beginning of this technology. Take a look at DARPA through Google. Type in “terminators.” Just like the movies with Arnie only real! The general think here is that human beings will no longer have to go to war. From the perspective of the military this is a humanitarian breakthrough. Who knew? These killers can also replace the need for reserve soldiers – they are faster, smarter, incredibly strong. A brave new world, eh?
