Danica Patrick to appear in Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed

If you are a fan of NASCAR, you're probably familiar with Danica Patrick. Patrick is one of the few professional female racing drivers around and currently races for JR Motorsports. Sega has announced that Danica Patrick will be a playable character in the Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed video game.

I think it will be a bit strange to see a real person racing against Sonic, Knuckles, AiAi and the other animated gaming characters in the game. Patrick will get her own customized, transformable vehicles to play in the game. This sounds like an interesting racing game with vehicles that change between cars, boats, and aircraft for different racing environments.

The video game is set to launch this holiday season and will come to the PC, Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita, and the Nintendo 3DS. The tracks in the racing game are also based on other Sega properties such as a Super Monkey Ball Temple Trouble track and others.

"It's a very exciting experience since I'll be sharing the screen with such an iconic character," said Danica Patrick. "I cannot wait for gamers to jump into my customized, transformable vehicles and give Sonic a run for his rings this holiday season!"
