We covered the Zebra Hi-Def combo drive from Addonics few weeks ago and I mentioned the bundled software could be more future proof if comes with WinDVD that just received BD profile 1.1 instead of the PowerDVD HI-DEF Suite. Good news if you are looking to get the Zebra Combo drive, folks at Cyberlink announced their ultra version of PowerDVD has been certified by the Blu-Ray Disc Association to Profile 1.1 or also know as Final Standard Profile. We are not sure at this point the Hi-Def suite will have similar feature like Ultra version but it’s good to know you do not have to ditch the application and pay for a full version of WinDVD instead. I’m sure it’s upgradeable for a small fee if that’s the case. Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra is selling for $99.95.
