If the community is going to fund their servers, we better be able to ask “when” and get a report and not some smug answer that they dont answer when because they do what they do for free in their own time

Documentation is a great idea. It would go a long way to help spread the love. I say first download is free and then $0.50 per download after that…so a user can try it out and then get the real deal once the Nightlies start rolling. I would donate or pay. As long as the process and support continues to be awesome and the project doesn’t start suffering to bad.

That’s pretty much a bullshit response! Ripping on the guy even though he admitted he was a noob, Everyone is a noob at some point Will and having a little documentation to set people on the right path isn’t a bad idea if they are going to ask for money. Think before you respond!

Some people really shouldn’t be dabbling with CyanogenMod.. I was a noob when I started using CyanogenMod but I put the effort into learning… CyanogenMod really isn’t for people who want everything handled for them. That’s what apple does… Get an I Phone…

I would donate to this fund if there was some user friendly “noob” documentation to back this up..I recently rooted by galaxy nexus but the process was made 1000 times more difficult by the fanboy websites with half truths, badly written guides with millions of hyper links to other pages and user signatures that were longer than the posts… (I think you know the site I’m talking about) until these guys can document the processes properly I’m out… I’ve installed this cyangenmod app but it appears to just link to stuff I can download that may (or may not) work.on my GSM galaxy….

I luv having Cyanogenmod on my previous Evo 4g but they kind of slow down on the release of the new devices. Evo 3D haven’t got a stable release for over 6 months now.

It worked for the Epic 4G Cyanogenmod team, they raised over $3000 for a build server in a little more than a week.

Totally worth it for a totally sweet cm9 rom on the Epic 4G.
