Some people have a lot of time and skill that just let it go to waste. Ben Heck is not one of those guys. He seems to have plenty of both (if you’ve got the money, he’s got the time). His latest project was to take a SIXAXIS controller and stuff it into an Xbox 360 controller.
Whoever commissioned Ben to make these must love the feel of their 360 controller. We don’t know how much they paid, but Ben has stated that if he makes more they will probably be cheaper, but still cost hundreds of dollars. And the guy already had him make two!
I enjoy trying my hand at modding, but I hate dealing with those tiny little wires. You need a really steady hand, and you don’t exactly get a ton of room inside of a controller. The finished product looks great. I hope that he decides to do a how-to on this one!

me…i hate the ps controller. my brother went out and bought a ps3 and i was amazed with some of the new features. but when i put that stupid controller in my hand it made me not like the system at all. now if the ps3 would allow the 360 to be compatible then i am sure that the exprince would be better for me and the rest of the xbox owners. i’m not sayin that i would stop playin the 360(cause we know that would NEVER happen) but when i go to my brothers house i would actually sit down and join him in a game . instead of just sitting there for a few hours watching him play and have fun.

please post step by step instructions as to how to do the conversion. The PS3 Controllor is so 80’s I too love the comfort of the xbox 360 controller. I’d try a conversion my self if i knew how

I would rather play with a boomerang silver like the original ps3 prototype then this, or a six axis dual shock, The original ps3 prototype was cool.

Lol nice job! I think all the consoles kick ass they each have their own advantages and disadvantages. Call me a PsWiixBox3603 fanthing but they all kick much ass!

I like the xbox360’s controller but prefer the PS3’s bluray drive.

Why build a controller like that when u can just install linux on the ps3 and use a normal 360 controller on the ps3.

Man, I want a custom controller. What I want to do with by PS3 controller is take out the Analog sticks and replace them with the X-Box thumbsticks. The concave design with those four little bumps have a better feel and grip.

I am very interested in your controller. I hate the PS3 piece of shit controller. It’s the same damn controller that’s been out since PS1, and it’s time for a change. I do, however, love the 360 controller. Would you be able to hook me up with one of these, and how much would it cost?

im very picky when it comes to my systems, i like to think of my controllers as an extesion of my systems, now if looks are not important to you than this controller is fricken awsome but it would bug the hell out of me to have to look and pick up a controller that looks and feels like a 360 and play my PS3 but i prolly wouldnt evan notice it once i started playin, but for me it would be a total eye sore. i love the comfort and the curves of the 360, it feels so good in my hands, now the PS3 is sharp looking evrything is lined up perfect but subtract some of the comfort. its kinda like a fat and skinny chick with the lights off, hahahaha that was fricken funny………………but mean sorry plus size girls seany still loves ya

Xbox 360 Controller = Strength = FPS
PS Controller = Strength = Fighting Games
I play Fighting Games, Soul Calibur in particular. I’ve never had so much trouble with a controller in all my life. The D pad on the 360 is f8kin CHEAP as DIRT.
The PS controller is sexy for fighting games. But sucks with FPS IMO. Nuff said

the controller is ok, but the only reason someone would want to use a ps3 controller, is because of its d-pad, coz the 360 d-pad sucks for shit. 2 play sf or tekken, u need arcade sticks, or the ps3’s d pad and the 360 pad sucks for that. sooooo….. dude, ya did a mod, why didnt u change the d-pad, screw the rest of the buttons.

John, people wouldn’t buy a 360, because:
-91. XBOX360 SUCKS
2. ps3 is better graphics
3. ps3 is faster
4. ps3 servers are better for online gameplay
5. ps3 has more memory
6. ps3 can read blueray discs
7. ps3 exclusive games could be way way better, because blueray has more memory in it…
that is why some1 would pay “hundreds of dollars” just for a comfortable, easy to use controller, but not buy the gaming system it was intended for…

hahaah killer. you need to get your facts right first.
you say ps3 has better graphics but there are 2 reasons it doesnt.
1. the games industry creates games with maximum profit in mind so creates OPTIMUM graphics for major consoles 2. Xbox’s graphics processor is actually better then ps3. ps3 has more processing power but fails with this because you have to install your games and load of the hard drive which takes all that extra processing power away from you.
2. ps3 is faster? in what context? The fact that it weighs more and will then be faster at hitting the floor as you hurl it out of the window realizing that it is just a cheap piece of crap
3. PS3 servers are better for online play? Games dont use servers anymore (with a few exceptions such as battlefield bad company and more) they use a peer to peer client system which means that the game will give the host to a little kid that will be on the internet at the same time so every1 will suffer. Xbox doesnt give away online play for this reason, so they can get the hardcore players playing the game without interuptions form children who got it for xmas and decide to be immature and spoil games for people.
4. Ps3 has more memory? well that is a lie you have a 60,80 and 120 gig (not sure about the last one) but xbox has a 120 gig harddrive aswell? we dont need the extra space because we dont need to install key components on out console but we can install them if we want (optional) and play without the disk drive making any sounds.
5. so wat if it can, buy a blue ray player or a pc with a blue ray drive
6. ps3 cant use blue ray disks for playing games. the media support is not compattable thats why its pointless, plus you only have 2 exclusive games that are worth mentioning and one of them looks like they will bring it to the xbox *cough cough MGS cough cough*
Before you make an obsurd post get your facts in line first. I have both consoles and found that its harder to play on Xbox because the players are better wheras on PS3 its harder to play because you cant move due to lag for the host of the session
This controller shows how desperate PS3 owners are to justify buying a ps3 rather then a 360
I can point another floor with the ps3 controller aswell, the analogue sticks arnt that responsive which is bad lol. You can react (in game) quick enough because the controller wont let you. Piece of S**T ps3

just 1 very simple thing to say to ALL of u:
fuckin’ drop it already, who gives a damn about what u all think is the best, simply put we all have our own opinions, some will be the same and some will differ, sitting here argueing over something as stupid as this is a waste of time as far as im concerned, i have both but i prefer my 360 over my PS3 and, yes, the controller is 1 of the main reasons y, but im not going to sit here and down others on their opinion, whether its the same or not and im not going to down either company and/or their consoles, so just give it a fuckin’ rest!
