I can’t say that I’ve ever really gotten into the whole Feng Shui thing, but I can certainly see why people do. I find many things in Eastern culture to be quite fascinating, however, rearranging all of my furniture and adding some rocks and other elements to my living space just isn’t my thing. That being said, I’m not sure how much one could incorporate Feng Shui into their gadgets, that is unless you don’t mind them looking completely ridiculous.
Enter the Crystal USB drive. According to Feng Shui, crystals will bring in positive energy, along with good luck and wealth. There are other religions that also find crystals to be a positive force as well. Somehow I don’t think that gluing a quartz to a USB drive is really going to bring you any positive energy. In fact, I think it would definitely draw negative energy from a passerby that ridicules you for even having it.
The bottom line is that this just isn’t practical. One of the benefits of a USB drive is the portability. If you toss this thing in your pocket, you risk upsetting the delicate balance of your energy. Plus the glue probably won’t hold. You can pick one up a 1GB drive for $30, or you an just use any old USB drive and glue a crystal to it. It’ll probably look about as good.
