Crysis mod for Novint Falcon force-feedback controller

It's been a long time since we first played with the Novint Falcon game controller, but the force-feedback interface looks set to gain a new lease of life with a new mod for using it with Crysis.  Set for release this Friday, October 24th, the mod will allow gamers to feel weapon recoils and explosions, together with acceleration and centrifugal forces when driving vehicles.  The effect will also vary depending on the in-game Crysis Nano Suit.

In fact, different Nano Suit modes will define what strength and intensity the Falcon controller delivers. For instance, when the suit is in its Maximum Strength mode, the controller will adjust the strength of the forces accordingly; gamers will feel stronger when lifting objects, experience reduced weapon recoil and impact from enemy fire will also be reduced.

The Falcon's ability to realistically recreate the sensation of different environments will also be used, so that swimming and wading through water will feel different to walking on land, while landing from different height jumps will also feel different.  The Novint Falcon force-feedback controller is available now, priced at around $189.99.
