Creative unveils Sound Blaster Wireless Headset for World of Warcraft

Feb 11, 2010

When it comes to gaming geeks and MMORPG games, World of Warcraft is hands down the most popular game out there. The game has been around for a long time now, but it is still hugely popular and has a large enough following that gaming gear specifically for the game is a big market. Creative has unveiled a new wireless headset today with artwork from the game aimed at WoW fans.

The headset is called the Creative Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wireless headset and it can be adorned with artwork from the Horde or Alliance factions. The artwork is actually more like logos for each faction, but it does look cool. The artwork is shown on the side of each ear cup on interchangeable lenses.

Features of the headset include WoW theme voice presets to change the sound of your voice. The wireless tech is uncompressed for better sound and the headphones support THX TruStudio PC audio technology. The headset is Mac and PC compatible and has a rechargeable battery that can charge while the headset is being used. Creative is selling a wired version of the headset for $189 and the wireless version for $249 directly. Both will launch on February 12. You can pre-order on Amazon for considerably less though with the wireless headset for $159.99 and the wired one for $119.99.
