I’ve been playing World of Warcraft for close to a year now off and on. I’ve heard of people selling and purchasing items, gold and even characters for real money. Personally, I think they are crazy. It’s just a game. Some people must be pretty desperate to make themselves feel good. One guy even paid close to $10,000 for a character.

Twin Blades

The actual amount was $9,500. I’ll admit, having the Twin Blades of Azzinoth would be awesome. There are supposedly only two people in the game that can boast this. Would I be willing to shell out that kind of money just to get them? Hell no. I wouldn’t even pay $100 for it, I like to earn the items I get, thank you very much.

What’s better is that Blizzard doesn’t take kindly to people making money by selling in-game items and characters. According to several sources, the account has already been banned. I have to ask, was it worth it?

Good god! That is the best thing I’ve read all day! The best part is that the account has been banned. So let me get this straight, some kid sold his WoW charachter for 10k and then the account was banned so the guy can’t even have it?

Its OBVIOUS this is just a way to transfer money without much of a record. Who WOULDNT think the account would be banned?

This is just money laundering, just as Second Life is STILL used to launder money. Google seacrh for FBI and SECOND LIFE will show up the child avatar scandal and the money laundering used by the russian, israeli, and jewish US mafias, and to some extent even smaller drug-running gangs. The commission is far less than traditional American Express travelers checks sold in South America at 3:2
