I’m sure that some of you have more than one Apple product lying around your house. Wouldn’t it be nice to control all of them from a simple interface. Say, on your iPhone?

According to a set of blueprints that have been uncovered, something like that might just be in the works over at Apple. They have dubbed this software their “Module Controller” and will allow you to access menus and functions from any Apple product from one central device. This device could be your iMac, MacBook, iPhone, you name it.

Each piece of hardware that you have will have its own software module that connects to the Module Controller. Then, the Module Controller will be able to detect which devices are connected, and display which are available. From there, just select the one you want to control, and the software will scale the options down to fit on whatever screen you’re using.

No word on when we might see something come of this, but I would love to be able to control various devices with just a phone or laptop. We’ll keep you posted with new details as they become available.
