The G2 uses a second gen Snapdragon CPU, its faster @800MHz than the Nexus One’s first gen Snapdragon is @1000MHz.

G2 is still the best Android phone on the market, the Nexus S is just a Galaxy S, which I owned and sold in under 2 weeks. FAIL.

The Nexus S has no removable storage… lolwut??

I already have a 32Gb MicroSD in my Nexus One, and there’s no SHOCK&AWE difference in specifications otherwise. SRSLY, a full year after release and still nothing really beats a Nexus One.

The NFC chip is super-cool but frankly, useless because it depends on a network of implementations that don’t exist and will take years to deploy. I don’t live in Japan and use Mobile Suica- the only practical widespread implementation of a mobile phone-based RFID communication system. NFC won’t be any use to Nexus S owners here until the Nexus Three or Four arrive..

I’ll stick with the MyTouch 4G.

If not, I’ll take the Epic 4G – it pwns all of the other devices.

Still, how I pine for a Blackberry Playbook stuffed into an Android phone – that would be the absolute beast. 1GHz Cortex A9 Dual Core + 1GB RAM > everything in the world.

Minor correction, the Nexus One supports Wifi is 802.11 b/g/n (not just b/g) as of the Android Froyo release.

I’ve been using my N1 since the day after it was announced at the press conference. With the same original battery, I still get a few days of standby time. With some phone usage and game playing, it’s usually gone in about 1.5 days. I did get a second battery before Google pulled the site and really only use it when I travel. Battery life seems good for me.

The Vibrant on Bell in Canada is actually the international Galaxy S model (just called a Vibrant), not the same as T-mobiles Vibrant. Also the Facinate is available on Telus in Canada. FYI :)

Ya, my Nexus 1 runs out of battery in 43 mins. and 27 seconds on average… and this is with no apps running.. I guess its what we get for going with Android… I’m definitely moving to Windows Phone 7 once my iPhone 3GS contract expires…

If someone can help me get 48 hours of standby time from my Galaxy S, I’d be extremely grateful. Battery life is horrendous with this thing, evening turning on every power saving feature I can, avoiding using the thing, installing Juice Defender, and using the task killer built in + the automatic one in the root program.
