I worked on the PET in 1978/79 in Santa Clara. Had lots of fun with my Personal Electronic Transactor, and great memories of then. Best wishes to his family.

My first home computer was a VIC-20 and I still have it. I enjoyed using it and it was responsible for stirring my interest in computers. That was the beginning of my transition from a jouneyman toolmaker to automotive design. I recently retired as a senior automotive designer.

Gonna miss you immensely Jack.

As an IT gray lady, not quite as crusty as the inimitable Grace Hopper, I can nonetheless attest to the immeasurable accomplishments and enhancements that otherwise unheralded women and men like Jack Tramiel represent in our technology.

The only reason we have a vision of the future is we have been hoisted on the shoulders of such giants as Jack.
