		<description><![CDATA[I see no reason why Skype should use an open standard.  Skype has built their company based on an easy to use product.  To do that they use proprietary technology.  They offer the product for free and use is free to other Skype members.  If they had to base their product on standards they would get bogged down and make it difficult to quickly adapt their product to new user needs/opportunities.   I am still not sure why Microsoft paid so much for Skype.  I guess they plan to make Skype an integral part of Windows 8, XBox and Windows Phone.  Cisco needs to figure out another way to compete.]]></description>
