Chromebooks score Google Play for Education

Google has been targeting the educational market with its Chromebooks since their early days, and the latest move in this is the addition of Google Play for Education. With Education, teachers can better interact with students for providing teaching materials.

With Google Play for Education, teachers can share Chrome apps directly with their entire class or with students on an individual basis, with the add-ons including things like CK-12, TechSmith Snagit, and GeoGebra. Says Google, offerings from Scholastic and more will be added in the near future.

The Google Play Store educational portal also gives teachers the ability to direct students to different reading materials, with the books available comprising age groups K through 12, and including no-cost classics.

Teachers are also able to use Google Play for Education on Chromebooks to create playlists for their students, giving series' of videos to watch related to classroom material or homework, for example.
