China gets in Blu-ray action, manufacturing optical disks

Next time your erratic blu-ray player refuse to play The Future is Blu’s extra, it’s probably not the excessive interactive Bonus or Live view feature but the disc itself. China is moving in manufacturing Blu-ray optical blank disc according to digitimes. A leading producer of optical disc from China, probably China Hualu Panasonic AVC Networks has established a production line for blank Blu-ray Disc (BD) discs with production to start at the first half of 2008. On the other hand, the production cost of Blu-ray media may drop soon with Chinese got a piece of the action.
