Did you know that Toyoda subsidizes the Prius @ $19,000/vehicle?
Anyway to address your question, my husband gave me one last week…loving it, just a great car! With OnStar free for 3yrs…hands free calling…run flat tires, etc. it’s just a great car!

His thought is and has always been, American cars for American roads, paid for with American dollars.
You’d be surprised at the ‘thumbs up’ I get from Prius drivers and others while driving…amazing!
The dealer tells me there are only 13 so far in Palm Beach County, Florida. Now that people see it, there’ll many more.

BTW, my husband drives a ‘Vette, but that’s another story…

When the article’s title states”after all”, one is led to believe that there was no real problem in the first place. However, the text of the article never says that. It only states that the fixes made by GM now deem it not a problem. Please don’t mislead the reader with an inaccurate title. :)

I paid $32k for my Volt, fully loaded. With the Colorado tax credit, your final price would be $26k, a bargain for this luxury car that US News and World report ranks #1 compared to BMW, Mercedes, Infiniti, Audi. I haven’t had a single problem in the 11,000 miles I’ve had the car. Sales of the Volt surpassed the Corvette back in September/October. Volt sales have increased each month since July, with December sales 32% above November.

This engineering nightmare will be in the news long after GM discontinues it. Average price out the door: $46,000…Brand new 53 mpg Prius c., loaded $23,000

Why would anyone buy this VOLT boondoggle?…When the bandwagon is this loud, it is time to get off.

Even on the day this was first reporeted, it was made very clear it was because of the mishandeling of a battery damaged in crash test that a fire occured. When a gasoline car crashes and no one cleans up the gasoline, don’t you expect it to only be a matter of time before it catches fire?-I would. I’m not a fan of hybrid or the Volt, but the technology deserves a fair shake. This was just alot of media fear mongering.

With over 250,000 gasoline car fires last year, it’s amazing the fire of a single Chevy Volt 3 weeks AFTER a severe test crash caused so many misleading and sensational headlines. That the fire could not be replicated in prior or subsequent test crashes mostly went unreported. No wonder “We did not have one customer that wanted to sell it back or felt concerned enough to get a loaner vehicle”. With over 11,000 miles of city/highway driving, my $32k Volt has delivered 120+ MPG. My electric bill increase $330/yr, my gasoline bill dropped by $2000/year. Test drive this luxury car.
