Ok, I’ll call your bluff: Please find the good in SOPA and point it out to us. Line by line.

The biggest worldwide corporations want to own the Internet itself, and
regulate it as they see fit only for their own commercial benefit. They
really know nothing about technology innovation and improvement. I doubt
that’s what you want, and they aren’t Silicon Valley, so all
information infrastructure will break and will go backwards.

Those who say, like FB Stalker, that tech websites (including the major ones like Google) and even the designers of the Internet themselves, are not qualified to oppose SOPA/PIPA, couldn’t be more wrong.

They are the ones in charge of technology, the ones who designed and
support it, and nobody knows better what is the right thing here. Unlike
the administrative people at Hollywood, who want to impose SOPA/PIPA,
but have no scientific role, just merely commercial.

And that’s why they want this far fetched and bad attempt of a law,
without thinking on the consequences for the rest of the world.

It could potentially be good…but as it stands at the moment, I can see nothing but ill intent and greed by corporations.

Only biased reports about SOPA speak about it as if it is entirely bad.

An honest report about SOPA would recognize that there is a lot of good to find in SOPA and certainly good intentions, and that ultimately it’s not so clear cut a matter. I wouldn’t expect a tech website to recognize this, though.
