epaper

Coming next week at CES 2008, LG.Philips LCD will showcase the world’s highest resolution E-paper. The 14.3-inch or A4 size of E-paper has a resolution of 1280×800 and capable to produce 16.7 million colors. It’s a significant improvement compare to their last model of 4,096 colors in May 2006. The energy efficient digital paper is ultra thin and has a full 180 degrees viewing angle. The thickness is barely 300 micrometers with the help of the more flexible substrates of metal foil and plastic. E-paper to save the Earth from Forest industry and paper manufacturing Or more burden to the electronics and environmental waste?
