So Kensington has decided to adopt the DisplayLink technology for their new dual-monitor adapter. This allows you to plug in two monitors over USB.

Using DisplayPort you can connect up to 6 monitors. There are also monitors out there with DisplayLink built in, but you don’t need one of those monitors to use this Kensington dual-display adapter, you can literally use any monitor, it has both DVI and VGA outs and I think you can connect one monitor of each type to this adapter.

Basically it acts as an external video card allowing you to either extend or mirror your desktop to up to a total of 6 monitors. If you want one, you’ll have to wait until the second quarter, and all we have is an estimated price of $99.
