The Music Wizard is a Mac/PC based game that works with any MIDI guitar. It comes with its own Washburn guitar and MIDI pickup which acts as the game’s controller.
Unlike the Guitar Hero games, since you are using a real guitar you will actually end up learning how to play the guitar as you play the game. It has a 4-step learning method and will also teach its players how to read music.
This product won’t be available for awhile, Fall 2008. It’ll cost around $180 which is cheaper in the long run than music lessons.

It looks very promising.
I saw the video on Youtube from CES2008 and the man shows how to dumb down the game so you can play it like Guitar Hero so it looks both fun and possibiliy teach kids someting in the same time.
Its a shame they didnt prepare their web site for their CES visit.
They could have dont anything to give a preview, a tease. Nothing.
Thank for the video you Youtube.
Let’s hope they understand programming and playability more than they seem to understand marketing.
