CES 2008: Bluetooth SIG picks winners of Best of CES

So, every year for what is now the past 3 years the Bluetooth special interest group or SIG has picked the best of the new Bluetooth products at CES this year. There were 48 new devices entered and there were 6 categories.

The categories are Overall, Headset, Input, Music, Transfer, and Vertical. The overall category winner was the Samsung P2 Widescreen Music player. The rest of the list is below.

Headset – Plantronics Voyager 855 Bluetooth Stereo Headset
Input – Logitech Cordless Desktop MX5500 Revolution Keyboard
Music – Parrot DS1120 Bluetooth Speakers
Transfer – Motorola T815
Vertical – Ford SYNC by Microsoft Auto

The Headset through Vertical categories all had finalists as well, and they are, in order: Motorola MotoPURE H12, Newton Peripherals MoGo Mouse X54 Pro, Samsung P2 Widescreen Music Player, Samsung SGH-i617 Blackjack II, and the Baracoda ScanWear. So, clearly the Samsung P2 that I just picked up from our Bullshit tournament is actually nice.
