Vizualogic have so-far specialised in in-car video entertainment, with a range of LCD screens for either embedding in headrests or to drop down from the roof-lining, but when they announced a Media on Demand unit I got a bit excited - would this be some sort of mobile IPTV device that lets you tune in to movies of your choice while on the highway?  Sadly it’s nothing so exciting: it’s a portable media serving hard-drive, powered by an Intel Celeron M processor, satellite radio and with built-in GPS for navigation.

VMOD

Plug and play with all of their displays, it apparently has a straightforward software interface to access all your DVDs, music, photos, games and downloaded content.  It’ll be available first-quarter 2007 for around $699.
