if games will come in blu-ray discs, as some rumors suggest, copying is going to be a lot harder i believe. However, maybe MS is going to connect games somehow to online profile, so data would not be lost and when console is replaced we simply transfer that to a new console… just like achievements are. This way at least there would be less to worry about.. Still whole idea of not being able to trade and buy used games simply suck for many reasons. Stores like Game, Gamestation, Blockbusters would find it disastrous as well as most of gamers

You have never called support nor owned an xbox what we have here people is one failed troll!
I highly doubt we will see with this gen the same as we saw last gen. As with the new xbox360s the design of the 720 will be much better designed to handle system issues as seen with the original 360.

I hope preowns arn’t banned for in truththis gen will probably be the last console gen with physical game copys. MS and Sony will eventually force distribution and purchase of games through a system similar to steam which will save them money as well as tackle piracy on consoles.

What does that have to do with the next generation not allowing you to play used games? A large number of the games played are used. I know a few people who buy a game the day it comes out for $60, beat the game, and then trade it in for like $40 a week later. That would no longer happen. There would be no more discounted used games, and places like GameStop would go out of business. Forcing people to not be able to play used games would be a huge mistake, although for Sony it would be a huge advantage if they decided to not follow that route.

personally it shows how greedy microsoft or the people in charge of what goes in the new xbox, but it hasn’t come out yet so they might not have that as a feature. Putting that in any console would shooting themselves in the foot.

This is a developer seeing the world in 3D. Gamers dont buy consoles or games they cant trade or borrow or rent. No used games would adversely affect retail chain and major retail partners. Making games people want eliminate piracy.

Wow. Is Microsoft going to release a XBox which does not break and has a lifetime of 20+ years? Otherwise customers are going to bug Microsoft once for each XBox that breaks and multiple times for each title they will need to transfer to the new XBox. I can see that Microsoft’s XBox support bill is going to go thru the ceiling when they lock all those game titles to the XBox.
